My Father | My Superhero

Father | A Superhero without cape:
On that day, his responsibilities increased the moment he held me in his hands. Tears were at the edge of his eyes. The tears of joy, that drained very quickly and on that moment the unbeatable plan was set to run on me and that was the first future plan he made for me. Others call him with his name but I call him as father.

At the age when the word punishment wasn’t applicable to me, everything was awesome. Every mistake was ignored and I was sometimes deemed as smart or sharp due to those mistakes. Those activities also led to my future being predicted by my father and family members.

Those were the wonderful days, when mom always kept me near the ground and sometimes father would keep away from it by throwing me up in the air. This proves that mom teaches us love and father teaches us fear.  The 2 factors that act as wheels of our life and both of them include 1 common thing.  It is confidence.

My Father | My Superhero1

A father makes all the difference in a child's life. He's a pillar of strength, support and discipline. His work is endless and oftentimes discredited. But in the end, it is shown in the sound, well-mannered children he raises.

I am still confused that when my mother asked money it would not be there for her sometimes. But when it comes to me, before I extend my palms before him, he would keep money in my pockets. As age went on the money stopped coming from him.

Each and every story of my father would strengthen me to stand against the world and if I were to ask him any questions then, the answer would include untold stories or words of wisdom. Some would be truthful and very few false. If they were false, then we had to understand that those false ones were to tell that everyone has problems in this world and to show that he was brave and I should be too in today's world.

According to me, the word safe is originated by the name father. To be a father it isn’t necessary for him to be a man because the character makes a person a father. Not the gender. You might have noticed or not but I notice that every father, at his daughter wedding, the tears from his eyes don't show his sadness. Those are happy tears that say that his daughter is going to light up some unknown’s house in her life. She is going to a daughter for them now onwards and she can't be in front of his eyes anymore.

Never forget that you fight for your life while a father fight's for his family. This is what makes him a father. To fulfill his child's wish, he puts out many drops of sweat from his body.

The history says that, Father's Day was founded in Spokane, Washington at the YMCA in 1910 by Sonora Smart Dodd who was born in Arkansas .Its first celebration was in the Spokane YMCA on June 19, 1910.Her father, the Civil War veteran William Jackson Smart, was a single parent who raised his six children there. After hearing a sermon about Anna Jarvis Mother's Day at Central Methodist Episcopal Church in 1909, she told her pastor that fathers should have a similar holiday honoring them. Although she initially suggested June 5, her father's birthday, the pastors did not have enough time to prepare their sermons, and the celebration was deferred to the third Sunday of June.

There are many heroes in our dreams but in reality there is only one and he is our father. He is even called as back bone of the family. You know a father never visits his child’s school or college because he knows his child's ability, if he goes to school or college then it would be for giving tips to teachers on how they need to deal with his child. He will be the most disciplined person in the family who never wears unironed clothes, dresses himself perfectly. Due to this, I think that the word gentleman was created and the term gentlewoman isn’t used much.

Confidence was planted when he said ‘this is just small scratch and you would feel much pain only when mom sees it’ when we just started to learn riding bike. The speed limit never crossed 50-60 when he sits beside us and the only word I heard when he sits beside me was "Go slow, there’s no urgent ". And who can forget those days when only accelerator was given in my hands when I would sit on petrol tank of bike while traveling.

The word FATHER brings fear in us, not because he is strict or a serious man. It is the respect we show to him and he is the only one who never shows his sadness to world.
